Hello Thomas, This is a big collective 'thank you from myself, Kevin, Catherine and David for our wonderful stay with you at the Inn. Kevin and I have been to NYC many, many times and we can honestly say that we enjoyed our time at the Inn more than any other hotel we have stayed it. We would have no hesitation in recommending you to our friends and, when we return to the city, we will stay with you again. Thank you too for the plate of breakfast goodies you left in the fridge for us. As I said in a previous email, you are a bit of a star!! Kind regards,
Kevin, Lynda, David and Catherine Thomas,
It's me Ross "the Plumber". My wife Linda and I stayed with you last weekend for a long weekend. We were the ones who took the train up only to have to fly back to Richmond, Virginia. I wanted to first tell you how much we enjoyed staying at The Inn on 23rd. That level of enjoyment is directly related to you and how welcome you made us feel. Linda and I felt so comfortable around you and we were so touched by your helpfulness and even when you came upstairs last Sunday to say that you were going and that you just wanted to say "goodbye" and wish us a safe trip. I am enclosing a letter that I sent to the local Richmond Magazine about our stay at that wonderful Inn. The magazine has contacted me and will be running the letter in next months issue and I made certain to put the website on it. My wife and I have many friends and have been telling people left and right about The Inn at 23rd. I will say this. If I was a millionaire and owned a Bed and Breakfast.... You would be making a lot of money running it. It's rare to find someone who truly wants to help and goes the extra mile. Thanks again, Thomas. I hope you have a great day and May God Bless you. If you are ever down this way, Please email me that Linda and myself may return the hospitality or help you in any way. God Bless and Godspeed Ross & Linda

On our first short stay ( it certainly will not be the last!) at the Inn on 23rd, my 20-year-old daughter and I were delighted with every aspect and detail of this exceptional spot. The first welcome, as we arrived, with willing and cheerful help for us and our heavy bags, was great. The room was spotless, well-equipped(plenty of closet and storage space and lots of strategic lamps), and charmingly furnished, as well as amazingly quiet at night. The bathroom was generous and well-lit, and the reception and breakfast room-library is a joy. The wall of windows looking out to 23rd Street and the thousands of books, the piano, waiting coffee and tea, as well as the excellent and varied breakfast - all anyone could want. However, the most important element of the Inn on 23rd is the sincere and heartfelt hospitality and warmth. Any question is answered, all communication, whether telephone or computer is facilitated with enthusiasm, and everyone, (owner Annette, manager Thomas, even Dorothy, the world's best-natured 'house cat') emanates relaxed and sincere friendliness. It is like returning to see favorite old friends. Can't praise it enough, and would return anytime we get to come back to NYC." Karen E.
Dear Thomas,
Ron and I would like to say thank you for a wonderful stay at the Inn on Sept. 27-28. We found your Inn charming, everyone very friendly and helpful and the accomodations warm and comfortable. We will certainly recommend your Inn to our friends and hope to return some time oursilves. Thank you again. Ron and Hollis O.
Dear Management and Staff,
I wanted to express to you how much we enjoyed being guests at your inn on a recent visit to New York. We especially appreciated your friendliness and beautiful homey atmosphere and the wonderful breakfasts in your charming library. We would like to visit again and will definitely recommend it to our friends. Norma and Rick
Dear Thomas,
We so enjoyed our stay at the Inn on 23rd. After arriving very early in NY, exhausted, you were very kind to offer us the library to nap in and to have our room readied as soon as possible so we could recover before heading out to see the sights. We loved the lack of pretention at the Inn while enjoying the friendliness, kindness and attention to details offered by all the staff. Certainly we would love to return when we next visit NY. Sincerely,
Gale and Michael Dear Thomas,
It was so nice to finally meet you last week after our email correspondence, and thank you again for all of your help with my Forrester Research event last week. I'm so happy to have discovered the perfect space for my clients to network with each other over breakfast in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. I was hosting several clients from the greater New York City area, and the Inn is conveniently located for a morning meeting before people head into the office. It's difficult to find affordable event space in Manhattan, and not only was the continental breakfast very reasonably priced, it was delicious as well! You were so pleasant to work with and helpful in figuring out the logistics of the event, which made my job that much easier. Your attention to making sure that everything ran smoothly from beginning, during, and after the event was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this space for small (10-14 people) corporate group meetings and look forward to returning as my plans take me back to NYC! Best,
Kate Our Dearest Thomas,
I'm sitting at your computer on the morning after my little brothers wedding. In your Inn, I am enjoying a cup of coffee, staying warm and checking my Facebook at your house computer. I have been so moved by the highest levels of service and your staff's commitment to your guests that I had to "put pen to paper". Being a restaurant professional with almost 21 years experience in four different countries, I have high expectations from a service establishment. I have always told my staff that the best customer service is achieved through open eyes, sincerity and a genuine concern for the success of the working establishment. To say that Thomas, Ramona, Roberto, and the rest of the staff's service exceeded our party's expectations would be an irresponsible understatement. From the moment that Thomas opened the door, he called me by name: "Good Afternoon, Salvatore?" Being a full-time, single father, I brought with me my 4 year old daughter Fina. It is often in restaurants and motels that service staff frown upon having children as customers. Thomas and his staff were only sweet to my Fina, at times during the rehearsal dinner consoling her when family would not. I wanted to write this letter because our entire party has been "wowed" by how Thomas and his staff took care of us. We all said that if he was ever in our prospective cities, we would want to have him as our guest. Thomas....thank you for making it all happen....on so many levels. As I am a service professional, you and the service you give have served as an inspiration to me. And, it is hosts like yourself that make me want to be more: for my customers and for myself. Thank you again. You and your staff have made our stay one that we won't want to forget. Sincerely,
Salvatore A. F. Executive Chef We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Hi Thomas, Thank you so much for your hospitality and welcome at the Inn during our recent two day stay. We enjoyed the room and the delicious continental breakfast in your quaint gathering room. We were delighted and really wanted to express to you and Annette how impressed we were with your services, the generosity and and hard-work of your staff members. You were also most helpful in offering us suggestions for day excursions and dinner plans. Many thanks and enjoy the new year!
With warm regards,
Robin and Sammy Gutwillig

Dear Manager and Innkeeper,
I just wanted to say how very much we enjoyed our stay with you on 19 and 20 October 2008. The location, the room, the Library, the staff - all were wonderful. Our friends,
Mr. Small and Ms Nutt, who stayed in the Bamboo Room also agree! We have never had such a comfortable night's sleep and politely request you reveal the type of mattress on the bed in the Victorian room. We live in England and will buy the same mattress, if available here. I tell everyone about the "magic bed" I slept on! We have recommended The Inn on 23rd to several friends and family members, both in the US and in England. We will also be returning as soon as opportunity allows. Warmest regards from . Dear Thomas, I had actually intended to send a hand written note to you but, in the interest of legibility,I thought that this would ensure that no detail of my intentions be missed. Please forgive the formality; the thoughts are sincere and heartfelt. Julie and I have just returned from our third stay with you at The Inn, our second From the greeting by Brian and the ease of check-in to the spacious and lovely room to the honor system of the bar to the delicious breakfast to the cleanliness of every area, each moment combined to place us in care that was personal and attentive but quiet and unobtrusive. The Canopy Room itself could not have been more perfect. The brick, the furniture, the bathroom, the windows and, of course, the bed itself all combined to match our recollection and renew our affection for it. Please thank Ken and Annette, Brian and your entire staff-for putting together such a Sincerely, ______________________________________________________________________
